Key elements in all child abuse-torture. 

  • Age of the child at the time of their trauma
  • Relationship to abuser (kin or non-kin)
  • Frequency of mental, physical or sexual pain inflicted
  • Number of times, days, months or years abuse-brutality-torture took place
  • Location where the abuse took place
  • Types of abuse, brutality or torture used
  • Degree of mental, physical or sexual pain inflicted
  • Temporary or permanent mental, physical or sexual injury
  • Forced to keep trauma a secret (in particular sexual abuse-torture)
  • Became a "Chi-ult" a child-adult emotionally frozen at the age of your trauma

Mind Control, Manipulation, Brainwashing, Stockholm Syndrome

  • Use of threats

  • Instill fear or terror to prevent tattling or telling secret

  • Guilt, shame

  • Threats to hurt loved ones or pets

  • Came to believe you were responsible for your own abuse
