There are times a child is temporarily separated from parents, either through military committments or employment necessity.  Sometimes it is a medical condition such as surgery or a car accident that takes the parents away for a while.  Parents also choose an illegal life syle that takes them away through an arrest or short term incarceration.  Regardless, the separation for a very young child can be very traumatic, regardless of the reason.
